From the very first Nepali movie “Satya Harishchandra” to present days, hundreds of movies have been made. The quality of new Nepali movie is setting the bar higher for upcoming movies day by day. There was a time when movies like Kusume Rumal, Samjhana, Kusume Rumal, Lahure, Kanchhi, Saino, and Koseli were released which is known as the golden era of Nepali movie industry.
During the 2000’s the high impact of Bollywood and Hollywood on Nepali Audience made Nepali movie market downfall. As the audience wanted to experience a new style of filmmaking but the Nepali market was producing old style revenge stories, the movie market did not bloom. With the success of Loot (2012) the producers started believing good contents actually sells better. Loot changed the perspective of even the young generations who are highly influenced by westernization. After Loot, there are more than a Dozen films released which made the audience believe Nepali film also worth watching like, Pashupati Prasad, Jatra, Chakka Panja, Kabaddi, Talak Jung VS Tulke etc.
