Nepali national cricket team made their first World Cup appearance in ICC global event at the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 in Bangladesh. The team’s performance in 2014 ICC won the heart of every Nepalese, along with all the people who watched them play. Recently, Sandip Lamichhane from Nepal was auctioned in IPL (Indian Premier League) for a base price of INR 20 lakh. He was bought by Delhi Daredevils for the base price. He will be first ever player to play IPL in Nepal’s history. We hope he would shine in his appearances for Delhi and open an opportunity for other talented players from Nepal.

1. Bowled out Myanmar
Nepal bowled out Myanmar for just 10 off 12.1 overs in 2006 ACC Trophy and chased the target of 11 in just 0.2 overs with extras being the top scorer with 5 wides. The score of 10 was the lowest in any level of men’s international cricket. Nepal set two records of bowling out the opponent for a minimum number of runs and chasing the target in minimum overs, both in the same match.
2. Highest One Day Score
Nepal’s highest One Day Score: 389/3 (50.0 overs) against Bhutan, 2003 ACC Emerging Nations Tournament.
3. Highest Twenty20 Score
Nepal’s highest Twenty20 score: 210/6 (20.0 overs) against Singapore, 2013 ACC Twenty20 Cup.
4. Individual One Day Score
Highest individual One Day score: 115 off 142 balls by Subash Khakurel against the United States, 2012 ICC World Cricket League Division Four.
5. Individual Twenty20 Score
Highest individual Twenty20 score: 88 off 41 balls by Mehboob Alam against Saudi Arabia, 2011 ACC Twenty20 Cup.
6. One Day innings Bowling
Best One Day innings bowling: 10/12 (7.5 overs) by Mehboob Alam against Mozambique, 2008 ICC World Cricket League Division Five. He set the world record for becoming the first bowler to take all 10 wickets in an ICC international cricket match with limited overs. The accomplishment has only happened professionally in two other instances, both in Test cricket with unlimited overs.

Best Twenty20 innings bowling: 4/11 (3.0 overs) by Dipendra Chaudhary against Kuwait, 2009 ACC Twenty20 Cup. By Shakti Gauchan against Denmark, 2012 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier.
9. The best economy rate in an innings
0.20 (Bowling figures: 10–8–2–3) by Shakti Gauchan against Malaysia, 2012 ICC World Cricket League Division Four. He achieved extraordinary figures of 10-8-2-3, which is the best economical bowling spell ever in limited over matches.
10. Scored by a No. 10 Batsman
Sompal Kami’s 40 runs off 31 balls in the Twenty20 International series against Hong Kong is the world record for the highest run scored by a No. 10 batsman in Twenty20 International format.
11. Nepal got ODI status on 15th March 2018 beating PNG.
12. The youngest male player in history to make an international half-century.
Nepal batsman Rohit Paudel hit 55 off 58 balls against UAE, becoming, at 16 years, 146 days old. The previous youngest was none other than Sachin Tendulkar, who made 59 in a Test against Pakistan aged 16 years and 213 days, while in ODIs the mark was set by Shahid Afridi, who smashed a 37-ball century, also a record at the time, aged 16 years and 217 days in his maiden international innings against Sri Lanka.
13. The youngest male player in history to make an T20 international half-century.
Nepal’s Sundeep Jora has become the youngest man to score a T20I fifty at the age of 17 years, 103 days with 53* on debut.
