Aviation Museum Kathmandu

The Aviation Museum, Kathmandu was constructed by Bed Upreti Trust and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). This is is second aviation museum in Nepal. The 1st is built in Dhangadi District by Mr Bed Upreti.

The Museum is built with old Airbus A330 aircraft from Turkish Airlines. A330 aeroplane crashed at Tribhuvan international airport in March 2015.  After about a year of being stored A330 was finally disassembled and finally set up in Museum. With the help of international technicians, A330 was finally set up in Aviation museum in about 1 year or more.  The museum is decorated with things related to aircraft like aerial photographs, different aircraft models like Wright brothers first aeroplane model. Bed Upreti and the team are expecting the museum will help students be inspired to take their step in Aviation Field.

  • 200 Miniature Aircraft Models made ba Nepali students ( visitor can also take photos of the samples)

The aviation museum entry rates are as follows:

Nepali Citizens: Rs. 300

Foreign Citizens: Rs. 500

Handicapped Citizens: Rs. 150

Students : Rs. 150 ( 50% discount )

Students from grade 9 to 12 can get free entry with a letter from their respective school/college.

Special Discounted price for students: Rs 125

Opening Time: 10 AM (October to February), 9:30 AM (March to September)

Closing Time: 5 PM (October to February), 6:30 PM (March to September)
